A fun time was had by me because during a song something really awesome happened and I got to hear it. They were playing Jessie's girl and at the break in the song where the band temporality stops the crowd yells back in unison... Buffalo.com! It was just like the video we posted on the web site. I guess the crowd has seen it a few times to be able to do that. It made me laugh which was something I needed. Thank you crowd at Club Paradise and all the Friends of Hit N Run!

I will be starting to put summer programs together for the Dock at the Bay. I would like to do as many as I can with Hit n Run. It's a win win for both of us. I have discussed the possibility of doing some of theses programs with Hit n Run and and everyone likes the idea. They can be any day of the week because I have convinced them that Hit n Run will have crowds on any night. Although a weekend date would be awesome!

That Buffalo.com video is pretty awesome! And the sound is really good too. Sometimes listening on the computer it distorts the sound and isn't as good quality - he did a good job - except for when he was talking to someone during your song!

Happy New Year!? What would New Year's Eve be w/o HNR!? I had to come out.? I was only going to stay for a short bit but my neice and her fiance did not want to leave, they loved the band and were having way too much fun.

I would like to say this is not a "smooze" post as i don't need to do that with these people,rather a thanks to them, and to let others know that these guys (and Kelly) are pros and a pleasure to work with. They came in to our club way early (to work around our schedule) and set up and sound checked with out issues or complaints, and in my usual manner busted balls all the way through it and they put up with it. The place was still rockin. their set list consisted of material that even suprised me but never lost the crowds interest. Well enuff, said I just wanted to say a big thanks as it is nights like this that make it worth doing. I look forward to our next "event. Thanks again from me as well as the rest of the staff at Rock-n-Roll Heaven.

the myth that the singer has the least amount of work is kind of crushed by you. While I appreciate the preparation you make when working on Journey, Styx or Bon Jovi, you never cease to amaze me on stuff that is NOT considered your bread and butter, Billy Idol for instance. You constantly work on the nuances and pay such attention to detail, and that is why you deserve all the awards.

With all the photo galleries I have posted this past year of Hit-N-Run on "Spotted", I get this feeling I have become The Unofficial / Official Photographer of Hit-N-Run. Which I embrace with great joy. The band does treat me great. The Groupies / Fans treat me with respect too! They call me up on stage to get shots from the bands point of view. (Which is AWESOME)

Used Old Home Days as a warm-up for QofH. Excellent crowd, lots of fun, and something for the middle of the week. Picture proves I had a good time! Just an INCREDIBLE night at QofH. Janet & I worked the beer tent, and it was non-stop with people there were so many. Actually it ended up being so much fun I can't call it work. HNR ROCKED the place and kept everyone there until the end. Just a huge sea of partyers all having a great time with HNR. Wish there were more HNR beer tents....oh wait, there ARE!!!

It's been along time since I last blogged. I have had the privileged to cover (take photos for Buffalo.com) a local band called HitnRun. TWICE! This Group is incredible. They are tight musically and vocally. I recommend any chance you get to see / hear them, do so! They play mostly Classic Rock with a smattering of country, newer rock and even Neil Diamond. All are executed with extreme dexterity as they move from one style to the next. Since I last covered the band, I have become a fan of there's. First time HitnRun @ Macaroons And the second time HitnRun @ Rhinos. I have known some local entertainers with over inflated egos. This group at present would never fall into that category. The band HitnRun is made up of: Mark Valentino, lead singer, Kelly Wahl, lead vocals, Bruce Decker, keyboards, Dan Kaplin lead guitar, Jay "Taz" Kuzara, Drums, and Mike Schill, bass guitar. The lead front man Mark Valentino is more than willing to share the "Spot Light" at a gig. The first time at Macaroons he had a singer from another band on stage to do a Zeppelin song (Immigrant song). Many times during their gig he would announce that I was there (By Name!) Mark would wade in to the crowd and randomly puts the mike in front of some one to sing the song. I hope in the coverage for "Spotted" I gave them they enjoyed the photo spread I did of them on top of the people shots that we take for the cite. (Side note to other Interns for "Spotted" Cover this band! you will not be disappointed photographically.) This band made me feel special even
though I was there to work. They enjoy a rather large following of interesting people. In which I was very glad to get to meet.

I saw you play at the Erie County Fair last year and I was blown away. I've never seen a band pull off "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" and "We're Not Gonna Take it" in the same set and rock the house so well with all the other great music you play. I'm organizing a concert to benefit the SPCA serving Erie County. I want to know if Hit & Run would be willing to play a one hour set during the afternoon. Having a band of Hit and Run's caliber would be huge for the show.

That was another great show at Macaroons! I got there late because I went to the Sabres game. I was only able t stay for a couple beers because I had to get up this early for work!! You guys really keep the crowd going....GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS! PS.... I would really love to have my band open for you guys some night. Please consider this.

Just to let you know, the long sets and short breaks and overtime did not go un-noticed at the MOOG show. People were talking about it in the halls at work a few times this week. The band sounded BETTER than ever and we had a great time.

We had a great time at the MOOG Bash. I thought I would tell you everyone in my department enjoyed Hit N Run. They thought you guys were great. I hope you guys are back next year. I'm sure that you were such a hit that they will ask you to come back. I was told that they usually don't have bands come back.
